“Colten Care have been working with Local Epicentre since 2013. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to communicate directly with those in the local community. The modern, sophisticated Coffee Lounge provides a lovely relaxed setting which lends itself to our informal discussions around care. It has allowed us to interact with a diverse range of the community who can benefit from our care advice without any pressure or a feeling of commitment sometimes associated with visiting a care home. These initial chats enable small but informed steps towards the journey into care.
The Epicentre is a credit to West Moors, its friendly staff, superb coffee and mouth-watering cakes make our drop in sessions a welcome occasion each month.”
Laura Rolph - Assistant Marketing Manager, Colten Care
“HGW have had an alliance with the Epicentre since 2012. This has been very positive for us and has enabled us to serve the community in which we work. The Epicentre provides a venue for us to assist clients who may not be able to afford legal representation. We have also been introduced to new clients who like the fresh approach of being able to meet with a solicitor in a friendly less stressful environment. We as a firm are committed to supporting this valuable community initiative and solicitors and partners are on hand to give sound legal advice. The sessions at the Epicentre serve many functions as not only do we help the community but we also use the session to bond with staff from other branches over a cup of coffee and cake.
The Epicentre really is an asset to the community as it is a nice venue run by friendly staff and HGW are committed to supporting it.”

‘’Many people are apprehensive about seeking financial advice. Sometimes this is because they worry about the cost, or occasionally due to a concern that they are going to be sold a product that they don’t need. Others just don’t know where to go for assistance.
The Epicentre is the perfect place for anyone with financial concerns to come and have a chat over a cup of coffee in a relaxed and neutral atmosphere, where the focus is on providing assistance and not selling a product. Some people come to see me as they are worried about the returns on their existing investments whilst others want to have a chat around the options they have with their pensions policies in light of the increased flexibility now available.
Whatever the reason, you won’t be charged for the conversation. Most people, after a short chat, are left with a clearer picture than when they came in. Some people have needs which require me to point them in the direction of an alternative specialist, whilst others have become clients.
I visit The Coffee Lounge on the 3rd Tuesday of each month - please refer to the website for details of times’’

“The atmosphere in The Coffee Lounge is always very relaxed and Sandra always offers an excellent range of cakes to nibble on. The service that we are able to provide in partnership with The Coffee Lounge allows us to offer advice and guidance to those who may be put off visiting an Accountants office. This can be done in relaxed but private surroundings.”
